How to teach: With actions I like to introduce the vocabulary by doing the actions with the students. Sometimes I check to make sure they understand in their native language. After introducing the actions, you can introduce the
question, “ What are you doing?” Have the kids do an action, and then ask “What are you doing?” After a few tries, they should begin to understand. Now you are ready to listen to the chant! Say everything in the chant out loud, and do the
actions!

Exercise idea: After the students have finished saying the chant, have them get in a big circle. Each student takes turns doing an action, and the other students ask, “What are you doing?”
