I created a new song to teach places (library, playground, restaurant, and supermarket) with a fun twist of getting splashed by vehicles. Check out the video here, more teaching tips below:<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qeJTdVIqfNQ?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Teaching Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before playing the video for your students, use flash cards, or pictures to introduce the vocabulary in the video. Here are all the vocabulary words needed to teach:<br \/>\nPlaces: Library, Playground, Restaurant, Supermarket<br \/>\nVehicles: Fire Truck, Bus, Banana Car, Bulldozer<br \/>\nYou can use flashcards you already have, or look around the web to source your cards, I recommend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mes-english.com\">MES English<\/a> for great flashcards for teaching kids English.<\/p>\n<p>Introduce the vocabulary on the flashcards, and the action of walking. Here are the full lyrics of the song if you want to pre-teach all the lyrics:<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a beautiful day<br \/>\nI\u2019m on my way<br \/>\nI\u2019m walking to the playground<\/p>\n<p>Look, it\u2019s the library<br \/>\nthe library<br \/>\nI got splashed by a fire truck<br \/>\nOh, no!<br \/>\n(repeat with other vocabulary above)<\/p>\n<p>Now you are ready to play the video, and sing-along with your students. I would make the students stand up, if possible, and do the actions. They can really get into it and act like they are getting splashed, too!<\/p>\n<p>The idea of these types of songs are that they are a fun natural way to learn English.
