We are focusing on two songs. Below I will talk about the two songs, how to teach, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Halloween Song #1: Halloween Counting Actions Song<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Halloween Counting Song With Matt | Action and Movement Songs | Learn English Kids\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w-lELMo7lfU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I like using songs with a lot of actions with my young learners. This song uses actions and introduces three Halloween characters: a witch, a black cat, and a pumpkin (jack-o-lantern). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to teach: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>First use flashcards to teach the vocabulary and numbers 1-5. <\/li><li>Teach the actions slowly, you can watch the video first to learn the actions: swish, hop, roll<\/li><li>Slowly sing the song without the music. <\/li><li>Give it a try with the video! Or, you can just watch the video and have your students follow along.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Kids really enjoy this song and do not even realize they are learning when having fun! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Halloween Song # 2<\/strong>: Halloween What Do You See? Song<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Halloween - What Do You See? Song series on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/dreamenglishkids\/videos\">Dream English Kids YouTube channel<\/a> is a great way for young learners to learn Halloween vocabulary in a not scary way. We cover 10 Halloween vocabulary words in this video. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How To Teach:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>If possible, pre-teach the vocabulary using flashcards or the YouTube thumbnail. The vocabulary words are: bat, black cat, jack-o-lantern, haunted house, owl, pumpkin patch, scarecrow, spider, trick-or-treaters, witch&#8217;s cauldron. <\/li><li>Watch the video with your students and ask them to try to sing along. They will get it after a few tries. <\/li><li>Quiz the students by pausing the video on one of the &#8220;Find It&#8221; parts of the video.
